Humanitarian Disarmament Campaigns Forum:
Disarmament and Arms Control as Humanitarian Action

Hosted by Save the Children and Oxfam

New York, Saturday 17 October – Sunday 18 October 2015

PLEASE NOTE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

If you have not registered but would like to attend, please email elizabeth@article36.org for details. Do not submit this form – we will not see your registration. Thank you!

Building on Humanitarian Disarmament Campaigns Fora held since 2012, the Forum will be a chance for NGOs to come together to discuss ongoing campaigns, campaign skills and strategies and the concept of using disarmament and arms control as humanitarian action to alleviate or prevent harm from conflict and armed violence. Participants will share experiences and learn from each other on ideas to strengthen existing campaigns and initiatives.

Please note that due to limited funding the organisers are unable to offer any sponsorship to attend this event.

The humanitarian disarmament forum is open to civil society organisations that work on, or are interested in, advocacy on humanitarian disarmament initiatives. The forum is not open to government or UN representatives. However, the organisers of the forum would be happy to meet with any interested individuals that would like to learn about the outcomes of the weekend, and identify opportunities for future collaboration.
